Poet and visual artist working across digital media and experience design

Gardenship Video Art Resident 2024
Core77 Design Awards 2023

Aya Karpińska (b. 1979, Kępno, Poland) creates multimedia poetry that invites people to read and listen differently. Her work explores how language, myth, and technology shape one another in a world increasingly mediated by algorithms and interfaces.

After early international recognition in digital poetry, Karpińska spent many years balancing artmaking with a career in experience design. She holds an MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University and an MPS from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, as well as a black belt in aikido under Shizuo Imaizumi and a certificate in The Alchemy Method™ group facilitation through storytelling.

Her recent book published by 811 Press, The Red Shoes She Wore, brings together text and image to explore femininity, pleasure, and power.

2024 Korea Media Art Association Exhibition
2022 Tongyeong Triennale Invited Artist

Todd Holoubek creates immersive media works that explore the relationship between technology, perception, and human experience. Working across projection, installation, sound, performance, and digital media, his practice blends spontaneity, intuition, and experimentation into emotionally charged visual environments.

Originally from New York and now based in Seoul, Holoubek’s work has been exhibited internationally in galleries, museums, biennales, and public art spaces across South Korea, New York, and beyond. His recent exhibitions include solo and group shows at the Seoul Museum of Art, Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art, Tongyeong Triennale, and the Journal of Contemporary Art Biennale.

His artistic philosophy centers on the urgency of ideas and the necessity of bringing them into physical existence — transforming internal sensations, fragments of thought, and moments of flow into experiential forms that invite reflection and emotional connection.
